Evil Speech and Evil actions are abominable the path of the devil. The evil road not to travel. Look at the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ regarding evil speech.
In (Matthew 12:34-37) Jesus exhorts,--You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. I tell you on the Day of Judgment men will render account for every careless word they utter; for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.
In this teaching we see the attack on Pharisaic hypocrisy by the Lord Jesus Christ. Blasphemous words will be judged accordingly. Words will be the criterion of the righteous judgment of Christ that will justify or condemn the person. Sacred Scripture gives evidence of blasphemy, reviling, and all contumelious speech: (Matthew 27:39)-- (Matthew 26:65)- (Mark 2:7)- (Mark 15:29)-- (Luke 22:65)-- (Romans 3:8)-- (Romans 14:16)-- (1 Corinthians 4:13) (1 Corinthians 10:30)-- (Acts 19:37)- (Ephesians 4:31)-- (Titus 3:2)- (Revelation 13:6)-- and (Revelation 16:9).
(James 3:6)-- gives magnificent evidence of the evil power of the tongue:
The tongue also is like a fire, a world of evil among many parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and itself is set on fire from hell.
The devil is the source from which the tongue derives its destructive powers which originate from innate concupiscence and selfish evil desires. The destructive powers of the tongue are graphically depicted as a forest fire. The tongue's influence can be described as the little part of the body corrupting the whole person. St. James compares the tongue to a small rudder that guides a ship, or a bit in the mouth of a horse. The perversity of the tongue is humongous and cannot be tamed by the human person. The tongue is full of deadly poison. The speech of a man is a great determination of one's spiritual condition. In (1 Corinthians 13:5) St. Paul gives definitive evidence thatCharity thinketh no evil.
Detraction consists in disclosing the fault committed by another without necessity. The sin of detraction is the damaging of one's reputation. This is an act of injustice against one's neighbor. Lies are an abomination against the Lord. Sacred Scripture castigates the liar. The pernicious habit of lying is an abomination that leads into mortal sin and to eternal perdition. Let me again remind the reader. (Proverbs 12:22) states, Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord.
(Psalm 5:4-6) gives definitive affirmation that God does not delight in wickedness, evil may not sojourn with God.Thou hatest all evildoers, Thou destroyest all who speak lies, and the Lord abhors bloodthirsty and deceitful men.
In (John 8:44)-- Jesus exhorts, the devil is a liar and the father of lies.
(Wisdom 1:11)-- states, Beware of useless murmuring, and keep your tongue from slander. Because, no secret word is without result, and a lying mouth destroys the soul.
(Psalm 140:11) states,--let not the slanderer be established in the land.
(Proverbs 10:18)- states, He who utters slander is a fool.
(Sirach 5:13-14)-- states, Glory and dishonor come from speaking, and a man's tongue is his downfall. Do not be called a slanderer, and do not lie in ambush with your tongue. Mortal Sin will lead one into Hell. There is a Hell.
The Bible gives affirmation regarding hell, and the consequences of the sin of idolatry.
Scriptures gives evidence of the worm. The worm is the agent of destruction which appears in biblical metaphorical language. The worm truly represents eternal punishment, also, the corruption and mortality of the flesh.
Here is some biblical affirmation regarding worm.
(Sirach 7:17) states-- Humble yourselves greatly, for the punishment of God against the ungodly is fire and worms.
See (Deuteronomy 28:39)- (Judith 16:17)- (Sirach 10:11)- (Sirach 19:3)- (Isaiah 51:8)-
(Isaiah 66:24)- (2 Maccabees 9:9) and (Mark 9:48)! All give affirmation and evidence regarding hell! The "Word of God" especially in the Gospels, there are Biblical references regarding the deliverance and exorcism power of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the Gospels, Sacred Scripture is filled with Biblical references about the devil, Satan and spirits: Please look at the Biblical Texts--Yes in the gospels of the Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew. Look at the gospels --First the gospel of Matthew.
(4:1-11)-- (4:24)- (7:22)-(8:16)- (8:28-34)--(9:32-34) (10:1)- (12:22-32)-- (12:43, 45)-- (13:39)- (15:22) (17:18 25): Look at the gospel of Mark.
Mark-- (1:13)-- (1:21-28)- (1:32)- (1:34)- (1:39)- (3:11)- (3:15)-- (3:22-30)- (4:15)- (5:1-20) (6:7)- (6:13)- (7:24-30)- (8:33)- (9:14-29)- (9:38)- (16:9)- (16:17)--Look at gospel of Luke--
Luke (4:1-13)-(4:31-37)- (6:18)--(7:21)- (7:33)- (8:2)-(8:12)--(8:26-39)- (9:1)- (9:37-43) (9:49)- (10:17-20)- (11:14-26)- (13:10-17)-- (13:32)- (22:3)- (22:31).--Look at John's gospel.
John (6:70)--(7:7-20)--(8:39-59)-- (10:19-21)-- (13:2)-- (13:27).
The following Biblical references affirm that evil exists. Also, the magnificent war in heaven between St. Michael and the dragon, the ancient serpent called the devil. Scripture gives affirmative evidence that the dragon and his angels was defeated.
(Revelation 12:7-11)-- tells of the great war in heaven between St. Michael the archangel and the dragon and is angels.
This is why the Church has instituted the magnificent deliverance prayer of intercession through St. Michael the Archangel. St. Michael the Archangel defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
(Revelation 12:1)-1 Sacred Scripture affirms the devil or Satan was defeated! He was conquered by the "Blood of the Lamb" and the testimony of the Word.
The battle was won by Jesus Christ on the "Cross at Calvary."
In (Colossians 1:13-14)-- St. Paul exhorts
…for he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
In( 2 Thessalonians 3:3)- St. Paul exhorts--But the Lord is faithful and will protect you from the evil one.
In (Ephesians 6:10-17)- St. Paul exhorts Finally be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that we can withstand the wickedness and snares of the devil.
Read (Ephesians 6:10-17)-- in regards to the armor of God. Put on the full armor of God. Always call upon the mercies of Jesus Christ and the power of his death and resurrection. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ, the power of his shed blood, and the awesome power of the word of God.
Prayer is a great weapon against Satan. The greatest form of prayer is the Mass.
The Sacraments is the greatest form of invisible grace and inward sanctification communicated to the soul given to man by the Lord Jesus Christ
In (Matthew 12:36)-- Jesus exhorts, Every idle word men speak, they shall render an account for it on the Day of Judgment. (Revelation 21:7)-- gives evidence that all liars their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all of his righteousness.
(Proverbs 10:11)-- states, The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life.
Proverbs 13:3 states, He that keepeth his mouth, keepeth his soul, but he that does not guard his mouth shall meet with evils.
In (1 Peter 3:15-16)-- St. Peter states,
but in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. We can do all things through Christ who strenthens us-(Phil. 4:13)--
God states--My grace ius suffiicent for thee--(2 Cor. 12:9).
Our suffieciency is from God. (2 Cor. 3:5)--Our Victory is in Christ.
